Okay this is going to be kind of long. So bare with me. I have given this much thought. I have been to many churches in the passed and of course all of them teach something different. but there is only one Bible. The Bible never contradicts itself. So that being said I am going to try to explain how and why Peter had the authority to write the new law.
I know this is going to upset some people and maybe offend others. So I will apologize for it now. What I am about to say will be coming from the king James version of the holy bible. So you can except it or not it is your choice.
As you know Peter was the apostle closest to Jesus Christ. And the best known to the people in those day and even today.
I am going to start in Matthews chapter 16 verse 13. When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He ask his disciples saying, Whom do Men say that I the son of man am? And they said, some say that thou art John the baptist: some Elias: and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. and Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven. and I say unto thee, that thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. and i will give unto thee the keys to kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Okay so at this time Christ has not been crucified yet. but Christ knew that it would not be long. He knew that he was to sacrifice his own life for our sin to shed his blood so that we could have eternal life. He would be the supreme sacrifice. Once he is crucified the old law with pass away and it will be time for the new law. on the day of pentecost the new law will be written after the holy ghost has come.
so I am going to stop here for now. I will finish this tomorrow.
